Connecting with the patient
The Chiropractic Knowledge Hub’s research strategy ‘Connecting with the patient’ has been updated to version 2.0. The new edition covers the period 2024–2028 and constitutes the hub’s fifth research strategy. It builds upon our fourth research strategy and the results achieved based on it.
Knowledge generated through scientific research is the cornerstone for the development of human health in modern society. The Chiropractic Knowledge Hub aims to contribute new insights in the field of musculoskeletal health by addressing challenges at patient and societal levels.
Our ambition is to contribute to evidence-based chiropractic practice in Denmark. To achieve this, we need more information about current chiropractic practices and the patients who seek care for musculoskeletal issues. However, this is not enough. Understanding the conditions necessary for implementing new treatment methods among practicing chiropractors is equally crucial. We rely on the participation of chiropractors in our research projects, and we are deeply grateful for their contribution as they contribute patients and patient data to our research.
The Chiropractic Knowledge Hub will continue its work in understanding musculoskeletal health from a lifetime perspective. We will continue our research into the development of musculoskeletal health over time to gain an understanding that can be used to prevent and treat musculoskeletal issues.

Henrik Wulff Christensen, Managing Director and Head of Research, Chiropractic Knowledge Hub
We recognize that there is not just one kind of musculoskeletal issue. People experience their situation in different ways, which is why we continue to define health profiles and develop individualized, patient-centered treatments.
Our ambition also includes a focus on implementation research and knowledge dissemination to develop new knowledge about how to promote systematic use of evidence-based knowledge and address barriers to successful implementation.
The research strategy elaborates on all this. For further details, you can download the research strategy for free by clicking the link below.
The Chiropractic Knowledge Hub appreciates the support of the Danish Chiropractors’ Association and the Danish Regions. Without it, we could not carry out our research into musculoskeletal issues. Their backing provides the stability and continuity necessary for us to fulfill our role, and we are deeply grateful for their ongoing support.
